Spain is a mysterious, beautiful and alluring country. One where many of us crave to visit, but too many of us never have. So, it’s important you understand what is so good about Espana. Whether you’re after the best seafood, total football, or golden beaches, Spain has it all. In order to really analyse it we have to delve deep into the heart of one of its famous and historically important cities – Seville.

If you’ve never been to Seville, you’re about to have your mind blown. This is one of the best cities in the world to visit. And it doesn’t matter if it’s for a week-long holiday or a weekend break. Here are a few of the awesome things you can do in between your Seville airport transfers. There is so much to see and do in the capital of Andalucia; so come inside and take a peek with us!

The Tomb of Christopher Columbus

A bit of historical trivia for you – the tomb of Christopher Columbus is actually situated in Seville! This is somewhat surprising considering Columbus was Italian! The man who discovered the New World is one of the most important historical figures of all time, and you can go and pay your respects to what he did for exploration. So, how did he end up in Seville? Well, the story goes that Columbus was buried in Valladolid after he died there. But his son Diego had his father’s remains moved to a monastery in Seville. Then they were moved to the Dominican Republic, before ending up back in Seville. Phew!

Flamenco Dancing

Did you know that Seville is famed for Flamenco dancing?! In fact, it’s the place Flamenco dancing was created, and it still plays a massive part in the culture of the city. This is something you aren’t going to get to experience in a lot of places, so it’s time to make the sort of it here. You should head to the Tirana neighbourhood, where Flamenco is still widely practised. You might even be able to find a bar or a club where you can swatch some performed live! If you get the opportunity, you should try to join in and try your hand at some Flamenco dancing yourself.

Golden Triangle

Historic Southern Spain holds many secrets. And, one of the main ones is the famed Golden Triangle. This comprises of three areas – based in Seville, Cordoba, and Granada – that make up the beating heart of Andalucia. Of course, you’re already staying in Seville, so doing this part will be easy. You can go around the city and take in some of the great history and culture of the place. After doing the tourist bit here, you should head over to Córdoba and check out the Mezquita, one of the world’s most famous mountains. Then you can finish off in Granada and take a coastal walk with a breathtaking view of the Andalucian Mountains.
