Some people see the capital of Thailand as only a pitstop before heading on to the more picturesque popular islands like Phuket or Koh Samui. You will certainly feel that demand for respect when walking through those sacred grounds. Or visit the Wat Arun which translates to the Temple of Dawn with its impressive silhouette and spires. It is certainly one of the most recognizable landmarks to witness.

There is one way to experience the true delights of Bangkok and the food, and that is from the streets. You will be surrounded by food being cooked right in front of you with a vast array of ingredients. From something you can eat with your hands, to a more filling meal with a throwaway fork, the food will be like nothing you have ever tasted or experienced before. However, you can still experience a sit-down meal easily enough and won’t be disappointed. You might even want to check out the Chinatown for a different style of cuisine.
