Last Weekend in Minneapolis

We went out last night to Manny’s, one of Minneapolis’s top steakhouses, to celebrate the beginning of our trip.  I’m still in a food coma, but here is a picture of the desert our server comped us after hearing about our trip.  She had done a similar trip 15 years ago with her husband, and shared some great stories with us about that experience.  They sold everything, bought a motorcycle and spent 12 months driving from Minneapolis to Panama (the country, not the beach in Florida).  They had no laptop, no blog, no phone, no digital camera…  Just some sleeping bags and some money.  We think what we are doing takes guts, but doing what our server did 15 years ago is much gutsier!
