Empire State Building

Museum of Modern Art

Brooklyn Bridge

American Museum of Natural History
A visit to New York without visiting the American Museum of Natural History is not a visit at all. The Museum is the largest museum of natural history in the world and the number of artefacts in the museum number a mind boggling 30 million plus.
9/11 Memorial
This has become one of the spots that everyone visits while in New York City. The 30 foot waterfalls are the largest man made ones. The memorial also has inscriptions of all the people who were killed in the deadliest attack in the United States.
Diamond District
The New York City Diamond District is a shopping heaven for women. There are more than 4000 jewellers crammed in this district and you can buy wonderful jewellery from some of the leading lights in the jewellery industry like Tiffany’s etc. However, you need to be careful while shopping here. People do get fleeced by unscrupulous persons, so be vigilant. Do not be rushed into a purchase. The Diamond District is a shopper’s trap, so beware.
Times Square
The iconic Times Square is where you will find the crowds. If you do not like crowds, then stay away but if you like the cacophony and if you like to watch the wonderful displays on the billboards, then it is the best place to be.
Statue of Liberty
The statue is the symbol of the United States for everyone. The name United States conjures up images of the Statue of Liberty for everyone. It is always on the itinerary of first time visitors to the United States. Not just the Statue of Liberty people should also visit the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration and understand the progress made by the immigrants in this great country.
Central Park
Acres and acres of greenery, right in the midst of a bustling city, that is Central Park. You can enjoy a day here amidst greenery and fresh air. You can picnic and not worry about getting a good spot as you will always find one even if it is crowded.
Grand Central Terminal
This is the world’s largest railway station. Grand Central is also the busiest in the United States of America. You should visit not just for the train ride, but to just take in the building. It is a magnificent edifice and you just cannot take your eyes away from it.
