Late-Night Munchies in Las Vegas
We’ve all been there.
It’s late. You’re out with your friends and all you want is something to eat. If you’re in your hometown it’s likely that you’ll have to make do with fast food or a snack from a convenience store. If that’s the case then it might be better to just go to bed hungry.
But if you’re in Las Vegas it’s an entirely different story.
In a city whose very livelihood functions around the clock, it’s absolutely possible to have your choice of everything from filet mignon to chocolate well into the wee hours of the morning. Restaurants of all types in Las Vegas are open late, and some can even satisfy your appetite 24 hours a day.
If you find yourself in Sin City and hungry after a night out, these are just a few of the choices you’ll have when you’ve got the late-night munchies.
Breakfast at Midnight
Sometimes all you want is breakfast. And sometimes you want that breakfast at odd hours. Like midnight. When you’re in Las Vegas you don’t have to settle for one of those 24-hour chains. In fact, you don’t have to settle at all. You’ve got some of the best restaurants in the world waiting to give you a morning feast at any hour of the day. Or night.
Head off the Strip and chow down with locals at places like the Peppermill, where you can get bacon and eggs all night long. If something a bit more upscale is your taste, try Henry’s at the Cosmopolitan for their fancy short rib benedict or chicken fried steak and eggs.
It’s Burger Time
While breakfast may work for some people, for others there’s nothing that satisfies at midnight quite like a great burger. Lucky for you, if you’re in Vegas you’re not limited to fast food choices. Just like everything else here the burgers are astonishingly good if you go to the right place.
Open until 4 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, BLT Burger at the Mirage you’ll be dazzled by the wide array of gourmet accoutrements they apply to their burgers. From the standard lettuce and tomato to pepper bacon and balsamic caramelized onions, this is a burger that you’ll remember for a long time to come. There is even a lamb tandoori burger option and a falafel burger for the vegetarians in your group.
Chocolate After Dark
One of the best things about Las Vegas is mind-boggling number of options. If you want tacos at 8 a.m. you can have them, and if you want chocolate at 11 p.m. you can have that too.
HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD Las Vegas is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and they’re definitely prepared to handle all of your HERSHEY’S chocolate needs. Stock up on REESE’S peanut butter cups or try out their personalized label maker. Whatever your choice, a late-night visit here will never disappoint.
If you’re in the mood for a milkshake, head over to Holsteins at the Cosmopolitan. While they serve food as well they’re best known for their collection of milkshakes, some of which are decidedly adults only. Try the Drunken Monkey or the Nutella Crunch. You’ll feel like you’ve gone to milkshake heaven.
Late-Night Pizza
If there’s one thing that always seems to satisfy after a long night it’s a great slice of pizza. Sure, pizza chains would probably deliver to your Las Vegas hotel room around the clock, but you can do much than that.
Pin Up Pizza at Planet Hollywood is open until 4 a.m. and their pizza is the stuff of legends. With dough shipped in by plane from Italy and special mozzarella from Buffalo, New York, you can be sure this slice is going to hit the spot. At the Cosmopolitan you’ll find Secret Pizza open until the middle of the night, but as the name suggests, it’s a bit hidden. Be sure to ask for help if you can’t find it; it’s rumored to be that good.
No matter your taste or the time of day, Las Vegas has exactly what you want, exactly when you want it. If you find yourself post-club and hungry, try one of these great places to chow down. You’ll thank me in the morning.
