If you’re up for some adventure minus the sub-zero temperature, then go pack your bags and explore these top 5 affordable sunny winter getaways. Even when on a tight budget, it’s still possible to have fun in the sun and have a blast on your winter break.

1. MEXICO

Be mesmerized by Mexico’s enchanting resorts and warm climate for that self-pampering getaway. There are plenty of spa treatments to choose from, and most of these have originated from ancient Mayan traditions. What’s more, you can always hit the beach for an invigorating sunbath, explore the infamous Cozumel’s Underwater World, visit Tulum’s ancient ruins, or swim with whale sharks for a thrilling adventure.

2. THAILAND

Thailand has fine things to offer for every traveler whether you’re with your family, a few friends, or on your own. For a vibrant beach experience, Koh Phi Phi is the best place for you, as it’s known for dozens of water activities such as snorkeling, boat trips to nearby islands, cliff-jumping and diving. When night falls, that’s the time to check out the island’s hip and trendy beach bars and rub elbows with the locals.

3. AUSTRALIA

Head off down south and visit Australia for some winter sun. There are several places in this continent that are worth exploring, but those who are looking for active fun and nature walks should check out Whitney Islands and Broome. Moreover, there are plenty of beaches in Cuba that will take your breath away. Discover an idyllic paradise just south of the equator as you visit Bali. This Indonesian island is where you can experience the pinnacle of tropical living and sheer relaxation. Make the most of your winter break as you go on a bicycle ride around Ubud, surf in the breathtaking Kuta Beach, snorkel and explore rich marine life at Menjangan Island, or climb the fascinating Mount Batur.

Just because it’s winter, that doesn’t mean you have to deal with the extremely cold weather for a few weeks. Plan for a sunny winter getaway and choose from these excellent locations that you will certainly enjoy.
