5 Must-See Locations for Your Trip Across Canada
If you’re planning a road trip, there’s no better place to do it than across gorgeous Canada. Take the journey by car, or you can rent or buy campers in Canada for the real road trip experience. There are so many sights to see in this incredible country that it’s hard to pick just a few of the best places. However, while every attraction here has something to offer, there are a few that stand out above the rest. Here are five of the best sights to see on your trip across Canada.
Banff National Park
Banff is the oldest national park in the country and the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for a breathtaking hiking destination. There is also no shortage of outdoor adventures here for your winter visit, which include skiing and skating under the stars on Lake Louise. On your visit to Banff, make sure to take time to relax in the hot springs, which flow out of Sulphur Mountain.
CN Tower
You’ll know you’ve entered Toronto when you can see the CN Tower, one of the city’s most identifiable landmarks. Here, you can catch a view of the city from all angles. This is the perfect attraction to visit on a clear day. You can even book a reservation at the 360 Restaurant atop the tower for an incredible dining experience. Looking for a little more thrill? The EdgeWalk around the tower is the first experience of its kind in North America and allows you a hands-free tour around the outside of the tower, where you are tethered only by a harness. This extreme attraction is not for the faint of heart!
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls should be on your bucket list no matter where you’re from in the world. An incredible natural wonder, these waterfalls are visited by 30 million tourists each year and we can see why. The Skywheel will give you a gorgeous view of the falls from up above, but for an iconic experience, you’ll want to take a ride on the Hornblower, which takes you on an up close and personal boat ride right along the base of the falls. Just don’t forget your poncho!
Whistler
If you are a fan of skiing, there is no better spot in Canada to hit the slopes than Whistler. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert skier or snowboarder, this ski resort town has something for you. For those who aren’t athletic but still love a good thrill, a ride on the Peak 2 Peak gondola will get your heart racing. You can also take a dog sled tour or ride down the mountain at Coca-Cola Tube Park, which is a more laid-back experience for children and adults alike.
Montreal Observation Wheel
Montreal is a gorgeous, historic city with so much to offer in the way of attractions, restaurants, cafes, and spas. The best way to experience this stunning city is from above, via the Montreal Observation Wheel, also known as the La Grande Roue de Montréal. From high up above, you can catch a breathtaking view of Montreal from the tallest ferris wheel in the country. There is also so much to do on the pier of the Old Port of Montreal. Your trip wouldn’t be complete without a bike ride along the waterfront, stopping only to enjoy some poutine on your journey.
