Europe: A Fun and Romantic Wedding Destination

Europe makes for the ideal fun and romantic wedding location, due to various factors. For instance, Europe has some very scenic locations, which provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures. Europe is also home to some of the world’s most magnificent churches and most splendid beaches, either (or both!) of which you might like to use as your wedding location, depending on your taste, of course. Finally, weddings in Europe can be fun, entertaining and lively, with delicious wine, beer and food to set the mood for dancing and generally having fun.

The Four Best Wedding Locations In Europe

1. The Amalfi Coast, Italy

This is the ideal venue for a mediterranean summer wedding. The Amalfi Coast is without a doubt one of Italy’s most spectacular tracts of coastline . It consists in a sinuous cliff-top road overlooking panoramic sea views. Your guests can tour the ruins of Pompeii, go on a boat trip through the the Blue Grotto, by Capri and visit the ancient street in Naples’ “Old Spacca Quarter”. The “Grand Hotel Ambasciatori” is a notorious wedding venue. It is located in the center of Sorrento and provides a unique panorama of Mount Vesuvius as well as of the gulf of Naples. Legend has it that this venue brings good luck, because it used to be inhabited by a fortune teller.

2. Paris, France

Paris, aka “the city of love” is another idyllic, fun wedding destination in Europe. The ideal time in which to get married in Paris is between April and June, and between September and November. This is so that you miss the rain season and tourist masses. Your guests will be able to go to the “Moulin Rouge” for a cabaret show, visit jazz clubs, galleries and museums, and shop till they drop. They can even go on wine tasting tours in the near-by Loire valley, which is also abundant with majestic castles and breath-taking scenery. The Four Seasons Hotel George V is an excellent wedding venue, as it is very luxurious, centrally located and is ideal if you enjoy old school, chic weddings.

3. Shoreditch, England

If you would rather hold your wedding at the center of a vibrant, modern city, look no further than Shoreditch, London. There is a large variety of wedding venues in Shoreditch, meaning that you can have an indoor wedding in a fancy hall or an outdoor garden wedding.  Not many people think of Shoreditch as romantic, but just look at this list of Valentine’s Day Delights in London Town that I stumbled upon the other day.  Shoreditch is notorious for having secret rooftop weddings, which is perfect for people who are seeking a swanky venue, in a delicious restaurant or night club, which offers an exotic twist on the city of London.

4. Larnaca, Cyprus

Larnaca, Cyprus, is a notoriously fun, beautiful, romantic wedding destination. The weather is always good there, and you can get married in beaches, resorts or churches. Wedding receptions traditionally last all night long and consist in a huge party, in which everybody basically dances, drinks and feasts. People even do the famous “Greek Circle Dance”. It is customary for a few hundred guests to attend.
