It is the fact that more and more tourists choose Vietnam as their destination, perhaps because Vietnam owns one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Vietnam also has many beautiful and strange scenes, from rural areas to the ancient temples or King’s tombs. Each place has its own attraction to visitors, including US tourists. The following article will show you, Americans, the estimated budget for 2 weeks traveling in Vietnam.

In the past, in September 2016, US citizens could only apply for a 1-year visa to Vietnam. But such policy changed in December of that year, and since then, US citizens can apply for any types of visa for Vietnam with validity ranging from 1 month, 3 months, 6 months to 1 year, for purposes of tourism or business and with single or multiple entries.
US travelers, wishing to obtain a 1-month single entry tourist visa, can apply for an electronic visa. The procedure for applying for a Vietnam e-visa for US visitors is as follows:
- Step 1: Access the website of the Immigration Department: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/en_US/trang-chu-ttdt
- Step 2: Register the personal information, entry information… online according to the form displayed on the website and confirm the accuracy of the information.
- Step 3: Pay the fee by VISA or Master Card
- Step 4: After 2 or 3 days, the immigration office will send the email to the visa applicant a text file, which is an electronic visa.
- Step 5: Applicants for visa applications print e-visa files sent by the Immigration Department via email and complete the electronic visa application process.
- Step 6: When the foreigner enters Vietnam presents his passport and electronic visa at the place of entry procedures.
The e-visa fee is $25 per guest. The e-Visa application fee is paid through bank transfer in order to publicize, make financial transparency, facilitate visitors to monitor, and limit the cost of intermediaries. This fee is not refundable if the visa is not issued.
In case US travelers wish to obtain other types of visa other than 1-month single entry tourist visa, or even this type of visa as well, there is also a Vietnam visa application form that is very convenient: Visa on arrival. The procedure is quite simple and fast.

- After 2-3 working days, you will receive the approval letter via registered email.
- You print this letter and bring the relevant documents to fly to Vietnam on schedule.
