Swinley Forest, Berkshire
This track is perfect for those who have been biking for a substantial amount of time, and those who have just begun. With 2,600 acres of beautifully crafted cycling networks and not too many hills, this place is perfect to cut your teeth.
Machynlleth, Mid Wales
Sitting in the middle of Wales there are plenty of hills to bike across; with the Dyfi forest providing a picturesque 15km trip with berms and banks towards the end for you to enjoy.
Calderdale, Yorkshire
This one may be a bit more difficult, but with a 47 mile distance that will see you cross the Pennines twice, how could you resist this adrenalin pumping experience?
Glentress, Scotland
This gives you the perfect excuse to head to Scotland. Considered one of the UK’s better routes, Glentress can offer you award winning tracks spanning more than 50 miles in distance. There’s even beginner and more experienced tracks so it’s fun for those of all abilities.
Grizedale, Cumbria
Found in the north, this trail may sound a little scary to some, but it’s what a true mountain biker wants to experience. With over 16 kilometres of gut churning climbs and technical bedlam to keep you busy, you get a real heart pounding rush; and it’s all laid out over picturesque views of the area for you to enjoy.
